We are dedicated to preserving Aotearoa New Zealand's natural forests and re-establishing our connection with nature through private sensory activities and green business events. These experiences spread knowledge of the local environment and promote the sustainable use of its resources. Our quality venue is available for bookings for small events of up to 30 people.
The forest farm hosts private foraging cooking classes and small group tours called Nourishing Nature that support our conservation efforts. Every farm visit plays a vital role in unlocking the power of regenerative climate action, focusing on the restoration of a biodiverse ecosystem.
About Velskov
Velskov is a natural forest farm in New Zealand, where we grow food regeneratively within a biodiverse native forest outside Auckland. Our approach to forest farming embodies sustainable agroforestry and ecosystem restoration, all without harvesting trees for timber while investing in weed and predator control systems.
Spanning 10 acres, we cultivate a large variety of edible native plants alongside a thriving and diverse wildlife population.
Our name Velskov, derived from Danish, refers to the well-being and prosperity of a forest—well + forest.
Together with our partners, we strive for the well-being of all of New Zealand's forests and aim to pioneer a new method for forest farming that we can share with the world.
