Velskov is a New Zealand food forest, where we grow edible, endemic plants and mushrooms within a biodiverse native forest. Our approach to forest farming embodies sustainable agroforestry and ecosystem restoration.

Spanning 10 acres, we cultivate a wide variety of edible plants alongside a thriving, diverse population of wildlife.

Our work is guided by the ideas driving the IUCN Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions and by a move towards a Kin-Value Methodology.

Our name Velskov, derived from Danish, refers to the well-being and prosperity of a forest—well + forest.

Together with our partners, we strive to ensure the well-being of all of New Zealand's natural forests and aim to pioneer a new method of forest farming to share with the world.
