Forest Farming
Velskov is the first modern native forest farm located in Auckland, New Zealand.
We promote sustainable agroforestry and environmental protection through regenerative forest farming, ecosystem conservation, and biodiversity initiatives.
Our name Velskov, derived from Danish, refers to the well-being and prosperity of a forest—well + forest.
Together with our partners, we strive to ensure the well-being of all of New Zealand's forests and aim to pioneer a new method of forest farming that we can share with the world.
Velskov is dedicated to growing Aotearoa New Zealand's native forests by rekindling our connection with nature.
Our experiences spread knowledge of the local environment and promote the sustainable use of its resources.
Our off-grid venue is available for individual visitors, corporations and small groups of up to 20 people.
The farm team hosts Māori dining experiences and Nourishing Nature days for visitors and for business teams.
Every farm visit plays a vital role in unlocking the power of regenerative climate action, focusing on the restoration of the original forest, an abundant, biodiverse ecosystem.
